- נֶקֶרm. (נָקַר I) bite, trace of a bite. Tosef.Ter.VII, 16 נ׳ בתאינהוכ׳ if there was a bite to be seen in a fig, and it shrivelled (v. גְּרוֹגֶרֶת,which is an indication that it was not a serpents bite). Y. ib. VIII, 46a top מקום הנ׳ אכלו they (the birds) ate from a spot which had been bitten at (by a serpent); a. e.V. נִיקּוּר.
